The CTC Community Building Strategy is a Region of Waterloo initiative.

The project is led by staff in the Community Planning Section of the Planning, Housing, and Community Services Department of the Region of Waterloo.

The Project is a cooperative effort with local municipalities.

A core team, consisting of municipal planning staff from the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo, and the Region of Waterloo are the group co-leads for the project.

The Region of Waterloo has retained the expertise of a Consultant Team.

The Consultant Team is led by Urban Strategies Inc, who are the primary consultants and facilitators for the project. Urban Strategies has undertaken many similar projects to the Central Transit Corridor Community Building Strategy, including work in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and communities throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The team assigned to this Community Building Strategy is composed of expert planners and urban designers, including firm partners Melanie Hare, and George Dark.

Urban Strategies are supported in this project by expertise in real estate by Colliers Canada, and in transportation expertise by Nelson/Nygaard.
